The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine is the most active and effective non-government, non-profit business association operating in Ukraine.

There are 3 main things the Chamber does as a business association:

  • B2G: Driving the dialogue between business and government
  • B2B: Continuously creating opportunities for business to business partnerships
  • B2U: Promoting Ukraine internationally as an attractive investment destination

13 Committees and 20 Working Groups are working at the Chamber. Every day the Chamber Committees are working on development proposals for improvement of Ukrainian legislation to improve the business environment and resolve any negative issues impacting the business community in Ukraine and to enable private enterprises to flourish.

The European Business Association

Established in 1999, the EBA provides a forum in which members can discuss and find solutions to common problems affecting business in Ukraine. This initiative was initially supported by the European Commission and has grown to become one of the largest and most influential business communities in the country.

With more than nine hundred members, the European Business Association (EBA) is the largest premier union of businesses operating in the Ukrainian market.

Ukrainian Association of Investment Business (UAIB)

UAIB established in April 1995, is a non-state non-profit self-regulatory organization uniting all asset management companies registered in Ukraine.
The main aims of UAIB, in particular, are improving the normative and regulatory framework of the securities market, maintaining high professional level of the Association’s members and other securities market participants, representation of the members and protection of their professional interests along with the developing and introducing measures for protection of the members’ clients.
As for today, 300 asset management companies are the members of UAIB. They have around 1156 investment and more than 66 pension funds under management. Total assets under management amount to UAH 251 bln.

PARD – Professional capital market association in Ukraine operates as self-regulatory organization for the depository and securities trading activities. For 21 years PARD has made a significant contribution to the development of the national capital market by facilitating the interaction between all market participants.

Working actively with its members, PARD focuses on a comprehensive range of legislation: depository actions, securities trading, corporate governance, foreign investment, professional standards and ethic norms, anti-money laundering and other issues on securities market.

PARD regularly conducts networking and educational events, scientific and practical activities on various professional aspects for capital market participants.

The Society of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs

The Society of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (‘SUP’) is the first largest united authority of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, created to protect independent transparent business. The society exists beyond the limits of political interests and has no ties to the oligarchic capital. SUP unites over 500 companies all over Ukraine. In 2015-2016, members of the SUP paid over 13.8 billion UAH of taxes to the budgets of all levels and provided more than 125,000 jobs. During the first year of operation, the SUP prepared 16 public inquiries and appeals to the authorities, submitted 12 legislative initiatives, participated in more than 43 round tables, visited eight regional centers for establishing a dialogue with local entrepreneurs. In April 2017, SUP opened official offices in Dnipro, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odesa. In the near future it is planned to open a representative office in Vinnytsia. The SUP mission is based on the liberation, unification and directing of the energy of civilized Ukrainian business to the development of a favorable business climate in Ukraine, the formation of a favorable business environment and popularization of innovations among representatives of small, medium and large businesses in Ukraine.

UkraineInvest (Ukraine Investment Promotion Office) was established on October 19, 2016 by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 740 as an independent advisory body with a mandate to attract and support foreign direct investment (FDI) and to help improve Ukraine’s image as a secure investment destination. UkraineInvest provides a single-source office to provide foreign investors with appropriate resources, contacts and personal assistance, enhancing the ease of doing business in Ukraine to attract new investors.
